Sherrie Leatherwood has spent her professional career placing value on the person in front of her, whether an audience or an individual. As a local church worker, for decades, she is adding a professional counseling practice to her community contribution. Sherrie’s hope is to bring a deeper level of healing to individuals. She believes this is possible. Gaining skills in her recent studies at the Townsend Institute, enables her to utilize the latest evidence-based research in neuroscience for transformation. Her relational style creates a safe, nonjudgmental environment where vulnerability and connection are possible. Bring your brokenness with a hint of motivation to session. Our focus will be building strengths where there are deficits. In exploration, you will discover fresh ways to cultivate emotional and mental well-being. Grief, relational connection, anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting, teen relationships, career challenges, perfectionism, transition, family of origin issues, soul care and feeling stuck are areas Sherrie is experienced in. In session, you can count on her to be present, convey the good, provide reality and together work to establish a plan of action that will cause transformation. As a Registered Mental Health Intern, Sherrie believes in possibilities with hope to lead her clients towards the purpose and freedom they are meant to live in.
