Our Small Groups (consisting of Connection Groups and Discipleship Groups) are embarking on an exciting journey and it is all about Discipleship. Group Life
We are passionate about Group Life at MorningStar. We take it so seriously that we have created 2 tracks for our folks to experience. With these 2 tracks we are confident that we can reach people both deep and wide. Learn more about the difference between Connection and Discipleship groups below.
Connection Groups
Connection Groups are more than a Bible study - they're more like a family. We do life together, pray together, and encourage each other to live life fully with all God has for us. We offer Connection Groups for men, women, and combined groups at varying times and locations around the Tampa area so you can find the perfect fit for you! Connection Groups generally meet from September - November and February - May. Anyone can begin attending a Connection Group at any time. These groups typically have 8 -12 participants that may complete a book study, discuss the current teaching series, or experience their shared interests in a Gospel-centered environment.
Discipleship Groups
Discipleship Groups are even smaller because the smaller the circle, the deeper the relationship, and the greater the impact. These groups typically have 4-6 participants that track through "Discipleship Essentials" by Greg Ogden. Once a Discipleship Group is formed and begins it is closed to new participants. However, these groups are ongoing and may begin whenever the need is presented. The focus of these groups is to make disciples that make disciples.
