Meet Our Counselors

  • Roscoe "Rocky" Glisson

    Rocky holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Guidance and Counseling from University of South Florida, and was licensed by the State of Florida in June of 2004. He has experience counseling with individuals, couples and families, and specializes in counseling teenage boys and those coping with trauma or narcissism. Rocky's communication style is friendly but direct. He uses an eclectic mix of counseling techniques including Adlerian Psychology, Gestalt Psychology, Cognitive Behaviorial Therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). He is currently working toward becoming a Master Practitioner of ART.

    In addition to the Christian Counseling Center at MorningStar Church, Rocky also runs the counseling office for the First Christian Church of Wauchula Florida every Friday and has his own practice in Tampa. 

  • Sabrina Williams

    Sabrina provides faith based counseling with a focus on Reproductive Wellness. She supports women and couples coping with complications and transitions during the phases of pre-conception, pregnancy, and postpartum including reproductive health complications, sexual addictions, birth trauma, perinatal or infant loss, and postpartum depression and anxiety. She offers compassionate care to help heal and mend the feelings of brokenness, grief, shame, disappointment, and isolation which often create strain and stress in her clients’ lives. She offers individual, couples, and family sessions. She is a Registered Family and Marriage Therapist Intern in the state of Florida and is a graduate of Liberty University. 

    Sabrina is no stranger to reproductive complications and loss, and knows firsthand the difficulties that come with the journey. She enjoys speaking and teaching and is known for her relaxed, down to earth style that makes the unbearable more bearable. More information about Sabrina can be found at www.lullabyhopes.com.

  • Sherrie LeatherwooD

    Sherrie Leatherwood has spent her professional career placing value on the person in front of her, whether an audience or an individual. As a local church worker, for decades, she is adding a professional counseling practice to her community contribution. Sherrie’s hope is to bring a deeper level of healing to individuals. She believes this is possible. Gaining skills in her recent studies at the Townsend Institute, enables her to utilize the latest evidence-based research in neuroscience for transformation. Her relational style creates a safe, nonjudgmental environment where vulnerability and connection are possible. Bring your brokenness with a hint of motivation to session. Our focus will be building strengths where there are deficits. In exploration, you will discover fresh ways to cultivate emotional and mental well-being. Grief, relational connection, anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting, teen relationships, career challenges, perfectionism, transition, family of origin issues, soul care and feeling stuck are areas Sherrie is experienced in. In session, you can count on her to be present, convey the good, provide reality and together work to establish a plan of action that will cause transformation. As a Registered Mental Health Intern, Sherrie believes in possibilities with hope to lead her clients towards the purpose and freedom they are meant to live in.
